Clarity is a quality that should be exhibited by all your company communications!
Why clarity is in the news: In response to his remarks about gay priests in the Catholic Church, Pope Francis is quoted as saying, “Well, my job isn’t to change church teaching. My job is to present it as clearly as possible.”
Why it matters: The Pope, as leader of the Catholic Church, communicates about subjects that are of deep concern and controversy to his followers and to the world; therefore, he should communicate as clearly, and as candidly, as possible.
What to evaluate: the level of clarity in your marketing communications. What are the words that most clearly communicate your brand? Have you uncovered the word that is so distinctive that it is “the word” to use when talking about your benefits and values?
If you—the thought leader—need a high degree of confidence from your audience, then communicating clearly, without confusion, is a must to your ultimate success!
